The Enigmatic Reader is a used bookstore without a physical and public store front. The browsing is more abstract but there is the advantage that the store is always open and that the books can be shipped to you no matter where you live in the world. There are over 3,000 books in many different fields. The Enigmatic Reader began in 1999. We have sold over 20,000 books to people and institutions in over 50 countries. We have sold books to both recognizable scholars, journalists and writers such as Lynn Sherr, Alain de Botton, Kevin Phillips and Robert Scholes and to countless students looking for an out-of-print book or a cheap used copy at a good price. We have also sold books to libraries at many widely known educational institutions in the USA, Great Britain, Europe, Japan, Latin America and Australia. For the first year and a half we shipped our books from Miami, Florida and since August of 2000 we have been shipping from Los Angeles, California.

We mail our books through the United States Postal Service, usually before we
even get your check. Most single books can be mailed for $3.50 book rate,
additional books to the same address can be mailed for $1.00. Priority mail or
