Cristina holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of the Basque Country and a MSc in Industrial Engineering form the University of Navarre, Spain. She specialized in topology optimization algorithms. She has worked both in the industry and as researcher, including one year as a visiting researcher at the University of Leeds. She has worked for P&G as an R&D intern in Frankfurt (Germany) and SENER in Bilbao (Spain), where she worked for over two years as a structural analyst of mechanisms and structures of solar technologyand as a technician responsible for the solar field supply in thermo solar power plants during the engineering, construction and commissioning phase of 11 power plants in Spain and the USA between 2009 and 2011. With a Master in Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Management from Imperial College London, she is currently an associate at an international management consultancy firm in Madrid.
