Winnie the Witch lives in a black house. She has black chairs and black stairs, black floors and black doors. The trouble is that Winnie's cat, Wilbur, is also black. After sitting on him and tripping over him, Winnie decides to turn Wilbur into a green cat. But then he goes out into the long grass! Winnie is going to need a little magic to make sure she can always see Wilbur...A beautifully crafted story with a colourful final twist, this big book is ideal for sharing with a group. Revue de presse :
An amusing story for sharing but one which could also be read by individuals who, no doubt, will pore over the many delicious details and visual jokes in the pictures (British Book News)

This amusing, easy-to-read story is lifted above the ordinary by Korky Paul's spirited and detailed, slightly Searle-like, illustrations which will make it appeal to a fairly wide age range (School Librarian)

The story is told neatly, and Korky Paul's illustrations are crammed with amusing detail (Junior Bookshelf)

Brilliantly wacky illustrations and a very funny storyline make this award-winning book a real pleasure to read aloud (Practical Parenting)
Biographie de l'auteur :

Valerie Thomas was born in Australia and has lived there for most of her life. Although she doesn't have a broomstick, she has traveled to most parts of the world, and she is now trying to organize her life so that she never has to experience another winter. She used to live with a big black cat exactly like Wilbur, but luckily her house was not black.
