"Geog.123 Basics" gives you extra support for your lower ability students. Three teacher's resource books, one for each "Geog.123 Students' Book", give you the material you need to enable lower ability students to raise their performance and increase their confidence. Each book provides: photocopiable questions and teacher's notes for every double-page spread in the students' book; photocopiable activity sheets for every chapter, suitable for classroom and homework; and answers for all the questions and activities. What this means for you: flexibility - you can use the questions and activities with lower ability classes and with lower ability pupils in mixed ability classes; and certainty - the key concepts and issues are totally covered.

This very flexible resource gives you photocopiable questions and activities which can be used with lower ability groups or with lower ability pupils in mixed ability classes. The questions are related to those in the students' book, but have been carefully selected and adapted to be appropriate for lower ability pupils. The activity sheets are at a similarly appropriate level, and offer motivating tasks for the classroom and homework. The teacher notes identify the content and concepts lower ability pupils typically have problems with and suggest ways to make them engaging.
One of the most exciting KS3 books I have come across in 26 years of teaching. (Mr Thomason. Geography Teacher, Gosport)
Lovely graphics, good use of OS maps, excellent section on football. (Mrs Blackburn. Head of Geography, Islington Green School)
Whilst the book covers the 'core' topics clearly eg settlements, we liked the way it looked at other aspects of geography, taking a more novel approach, such as in the chapter which looks at football. (Miss Pilkinton. Lobert Pattinson School, Lincoln)
