Présentation de l'éditeur :

This historical series really puts the story back into history! Each exciting book brings the past alive by linking key events to a fast-moving narrative. The series is characterized by short chapters, wonderful illustrations, a glossary of unfamiliar terms and a What Happened Next? chapter. Beware the King is the story of England s brutal monarch, Henry VIII, and his love for Anne Boleyn. Anne Boleyn is prettiest of all the ladies-in-waiting at the court of King Henry VIII. It isn t long before she catches the eye of the king. Bored and unfulfilled by his marriage, and with no heir apparent, Henry is casting his net wide. Anne is in love and cannot see why she would do well to beware the king... .

Biographie de l'auteur :

Prizewinning author Stewart Ross taught at all levels in Britain, the USA, the Middle East and Sri Lanka before becoming a full-time writer twenty-two years ago. Some 250 of his books have been published, including two novels for adults and 27 works of fiction for children. He has written plays, lyrics and poetry too. His books have been translated into around 20 languages. When not writing, Stewart enjoys travel, music, sport, theatre and wandering off into the nearby woods with Chess, an ancient Border collie.
