She worked in theatre before gaining a first class degree in English Literature at the University of London’s Birkbeck College, and has since worked in film production. Her first novel, A Life Everlasting, was published in 2003. Her second novel, Nelson’s Daughter, was published in 2005 and longlisted for the Orange Prize.

Biographie de l'auteur :

Miranda Hearn was born in Darlington in 1955 and brought up in Dorset and Wiltshire. She studied theatre, writing and performance at Dartington College of Arts and worked in the theatre for some years, including acting with a Cypriot company, then as assistant stage manager for Steven Berkoff. Since then she has been assistant to the author and psychoanalyst Masud Khan, worked in the editorial offices of the International Zoo Yearbook at London Zoo, done postgraduate research on the writer Harriet Martineau, and worked as a scriptwriter and in film production, including on the Channel 4 Series TRAFFIK.
