A particularly useful section on foliage follows, with emphasis on the technique of arrangement and the use of foliage. She shows how mid-winter can provide its own striking arrangements by using evergreens and winter-flowering shrubs. Colour plates of seventy-two of the author's flower arrangements are included. The second part of the book is devoted to a plant list with descriptions, notes on the cultivation and use in decoration of two hundred plants, each one is illustrated with a black and white photograph.
