Gibson began writing in 1977 and burst upon the literary world with his acclaimed first novel, NEUROMANCER, the book that launched the cyberpunk generation, and the first novel to win the holy trinity of science fiction, the Hugo, Nebula and Philip K. Dick Awards. Although best known for his early cyberpunk novels, Gibson's work has continued to evolve over the ensuing years, always casting an astute critical eye on modern societal trends. In 1999 The Guardian praised him as 'probably the most important novelist of the past two decades'. His most recent books include ZERO HISTORY and THE PERIPHERAL.

Description du livre Hardcover. Etat : Very Good. Etat de la jaquette : Very Good. 1st Edition. First UK Edition/First Printing; A Very Good book in a Very Good dust jacket. A handsome copy of this collection of short stories by the author of "Nueromancer" and "Count Zero", scarce in collectible condition. This copy is in very good condition with a square tight binding, bright spine lettering on red boards, and clean, crisp pages; the book does show minor soiling to the text block, particularly to the top edge text block, and some light shelf wear to the spine ends, else near fine to fine. Housed in a bright, very good dust jacket that shows a small stain to the spine foot and lower edge of the panel, and some light soiling along the top of the panel and flap edges, again else near fine to fine. Overall, a clean, bright, and tight copy of the very rare 1st UK edition of this book by one of the most influential SciFi writers of the last 50 years, a writer that wrote about the internet before the internet existed, and coined the phrase "cyberspace" in the short story "Burning Chrome"; not remaindered, not price clipped, not ex-library; in archival protection.
