Overall, the goal is to educate Christian youth to unashamedly embrace Christian life principles, from an ethnic/cultural basis.

Yvonne is a strong advocate for healthy families. Having grown up in Flint, Michigan, she is the author of her memoir, a testimony titled, 'A Miracle in the House'? She authored a Christian Leadership Manual for Pre-Adolescents entitled T.L.C.? Thinking, Learning, Choosing Right along with a workbook for middle school bible study students. Her most recent publications are Heart to Heart with God; a book of devotionals; Fostering My Pathway to Freedom; a resource manual to assist foster care youth exiting the foster care system; Exodus manual for Christian Youth transitioning from the Foster Care System; Dancin to His Righteous Rhythm a student's manual and teachers instructional designed to equip Christian youth with the tools to relate their cultural/social life challenges with the Word of the living God; 'Unlocking My True Potential' A life skills manual designed to assist high school youth's social, physical and spiritual development and lastly, 'Grandmama and the Church of the People' an engaging series of lesson-laden vignettes as co-authored by her husband, Benton. Yvonne has been engaged in social work, family drug and alcohol therapy, public speaking, vocational counseling and, through collaboration with other health professionals, produced health related videos. Yvonne has ministered to Young Life middle and high school students in Louisville, Kentucky, 1997-1999. She was on the Committee to Free South Africa during her studies at Michigan State University, 1978-1982. Ordained to Minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ by Evangel Ministerial Association, Inc., since 1997. She unapologetically and passionately preaches the Word of God. Yvonne provides Christian based consultations, workshops and counseling to the Church Community and has received various awards and honors, including being recognized in The Marquis Who's Who of American Women.
