RJ Tolson lives in Arlington, VA (United States) a metropolitan area of Washington D.C. Born to a dentist (father) and Lawyer/professional tennis player (mother), they instilled the importance of passion in ones life. Throughout his childhood, RJ wrote endlessly, often into the late hours of the night. Fantasy and Fiction novels have always been RJ's biggest loves. Some of RJ's biggest influences have been from the works of D.J. MacHale, Jonathan Stroud, J.R.R. Tolkien, Jenny Nimmo, Christopher Paolini, C. S. Lewis, Eoin Colfer, Stephen King, Cinda Williams , and J.K. Rowling. RJ attended and graduated from a private boarding high school, Cheshire Academy, and studies at Whittier College in California. Aside from his writing skills, RJ speaks Spanish, Chinese, Korean, Japanese, and Greek. He also works on composing both classical and jazz music from time to time, as well as the production of pop and hip-hop music. Although fairly young, he prides himself in how he tries to take everyday as a learning experience while trying his best to grow from each and every aspect of his life and the events that occur around him. Sports have always been a big part of RJ’s life. He played soccer in high school and on multiple club teams, tennis, swimming and more. He also trained in karate for seven years, Nin-Jit-Su for six and the art of Senjutsu (Sage in comparison to a monk) for four with a black belt in each. He is the CEO of multiple companies and divisions including but not limited to RJTIO LLC, Forever Trust Charity, and RJTINC. He is also a President of Sages of Essence. He studies and teaches metaphysics and likes economics and the stock exchange. When RJ isn't writing he enjoys hanging out with his friends, playing soccer and tennis, going to soccer games, listening composing music, and reading. 17 years ago, in the island village of Dentro, lived a large and powerful demon. With just a howl, mountains were obliterated. With the help of an outsider, the chief of Dentro destroyed the demon and sealed it's dark power within three powerful ancient weapons: A spear, shield, and a sword. After leaving the unwelcoming village, the man who helped destroy the demon took the sword in an effort to keep the village and it's people safe. Months later, a villager bore the son of the outsider, breaking one of the sacred village laws in doing so. Born into a village filled with hateful people, Zephyr grew up without knowing why he was hated. With no friends, and eventually no family with the passing of his mother, Zephyr was forced to survive by himself as an outcast. Zephyr's only wish, being to make his mother proud and force the village to recognize him while surviving in a world filled with demons, paranormal abilities, love, hate, and undiscovered lands.
