Présentation de l'éditeur :
Schizophrenia is one of the most complex and puzzling diseases to affect mankind. For the average practicing psychiatrist, making sense of the vast body of information on the subject and filtering out what is of clinical relevance can be difficult. This book is aimed at these practicing psychiatrists. The book consists of four sections: descriptive aspects, causative aspects, physical treatments, and psychological, behavioural, and social treatments. The Editors are both highly respected clinical psychiatrists who are leading experts on schizophrenia. They have brought together a strong group of contributors from the USA, UK and Europe to produce what will be an essential reference for the trainee and practicing psychiatrist. The result is a comprehensive textbook and research guide about schizophrenia, including up–to–date chapters reviewing current biology of the disorder, phenomenology, clinical characteristics, and treatment, both medical and psychosocial.
