Présentation de l'éditeur :
This is about more than weight loss. It's about stopping the diet and fitness roller coasters. It's about Slow Food and smelling the roses. You can get fit and healthy without being in panic mode to drop unwanted pounds. Authors Karen Fili Sullivan and Jeri Levesque, Ed.D. have done it again by combining expertise from their professional fields of study: fitness, and education. Their added ingredient is the peace and enjoyment that comes through learning to appreciate your body and the food you eat. Your Perfect Food Plan is a companion for the popular Zen of Weight Loss which was published in 2013. It will help you design a personal fitness plan through the process of using a food and activity diary. Learn how to track your eating, exercise, and energy levels -- by actually doing it! You're provided with prompts which train you to think about how and why you eat certain foods. You'll learn to recognize clues your body gives for food that you really should not eat. NOT because someone else told you, but because your body has told you. Remember it's about the voyage -- not the destination. Your Perfect Food Plan gives you every advantage so you can get fit and stay that way. A self-help book that wants you to be able to stop dieting. It is designed to help you digest the guidance from these author's first book The Zen of Weight Loss. If you don't have a copy get one at http://zwlcoaching.com Here's what others are saying: “The Zen of Weight Loss is an amazing book that takes the reader on one of life’s most important journeys. Starting in the mind, the journey walks through the passages of the will, enters the morass of the emotions, and lands you squarely in the practicality of a program for today. In typical Zen fashion, the constant engine that propels you on this journey is the power of your breath and a mindful attitude toward all the choices that determine whether or not you reach your destination of ultimate fitness. The Zen of Weight Loss is a must read for anyone who is tired of all the hype and false promises of the commercial diet and exercise industry and ready for a practical path that leads to true results, not only in your body but in your mind and soul as well.” Ed Wills, Author and Consultant Where Do I Go From Here? A Guidebook for Life’s Transitions
Biographie de l'auteur :
Karen Sullivan has been working as a fitness and lifestyle health coach for more than 25 years, and she’s been saying that for a while. She knows her stuff, but is rather unconventional. Her approach kicks some of the standard exercise myths to the curb. Years ago she recognized that her clients were the best experts on their body’s limitations. That’s when she began to deviate from her own approach to training. Using the expertise she had as a personal trainer, and her intuitive nature she began to guide people to develop individual diet and exercise routines. The ZWL method of coaching and individual training has helped clients from coast to coast. The key to their success is a program that’s livable and sustainable. In 2013, she published The Zen of Weight Loss: A Mindful, Livable Approach to Fitness with Jeri Levesque, Ed.D. This is their second book. Visit her at http://zwlcoaching.com or on Facebook at ZWL Coaching Method. Jeri Levesque is an avid sailor, gourmet (“slow food”) cook, kayaker, bike rider, reader, writer (jalsails.com) and mother/grandmother to an energetic family that spans three regions of the country. She balances a healthy recreational lifestyle with the creative energy associated with being a university professor and owner of a small business (Center of Effort) that evaluates programs that promote family engagement, math, science, and literacy development.
