The text block is unmarked, tight, white, bright and square. International postal rates are calculated on a book weighing 1 Kilo, in cases where the book weighs more than 1 Kilo increased postal rates will be quoted, where the book weighs less then postage will be reduced accordingly. This is a superb collection with general introductions, authored by acknowledged maritime historians. Lavishly illustrated in colour and black and white plates with maps as called for. There are also specially commissioned artworks. Definitely worth having in a nautical history library. This is just one title of the complete set of twenty two titles that I am selling on this site. Describes the origin and evolution of the heroic tradition of whaling, looking at the ships, activities, lifestyles, folk art, and tools of the whale hunters from such places as New Bedford, Nantucket, and Lahaina.
