Plaintext paperback binding with blue and black coloured titles to the front panel and black coloured titles to the backstrip. 2000 Prisoners-of-war who had survived the notorious Burma Railway, were jammed on to 2 ships sailing for Japan. The ships were attacked by American submarines and sunk. Of the 2000 prisoners only 300 were to survive, while the others succumbed to thirst, madness and death.
