Synopsis

This is an adaptation of an ancient Celtic fortune-telling system deriving from the Druid religion. It is based on the use of sacred tree symbols to foretell the future. The Celts believed that every tree has its own quality and stands for some natural force or power. The authors have adopted these traditional Celtic tree symbols for use in a card system similar to Tarot. The inquirer shuffles the cards and arranges them into three groups representing past, present and future. The mix of cards obtained can then be interpreted to show the dominant influences at the time and to guide the inquirer's future course of action.

Biographie de l'auteur

Colin Murray (deceased) founded the Golden Section Order in the mid 1970s a society dedicated to the preservation of Celtic lore. The Order, and its hand-illuminated magazine, the New Celtic Review, soon gained international renown. Following a serious car accident, Colin became inspired to research ancient Celtic tree wisdom, and this led him to devise the Ogham cards. His wife Liz continued his work after his death, bringing his Ogham divination system to fruition in THE CELTIC TREE ORACLE
