Synopsis
English for Beginners is a Ladybird series designed for young people learning English worldwide. The emphasis is on word recognition and word learning through simple, clear text and colourful pictures and activities. Each hardback book is accompanied by its own workbook, re-enforcing the learning process in a structured but entertaining way.
Counting, Colours and Shapes introduces the vocabulary of the numbers one to twenty, eleven basic colours and four basic shapes. The concepts are presented by the visually appealing characters, Mr. and Mrs. Clown, who encourage and stimulate learning. Number, colours or shapes in words and pictures are repeated at the top of the page.
