Gavin Mooney: Curtin University, Perth, Australia

The book aims to encourage policy makers and planners, as well as those at the sharp end of health care, to understand the merits of using and embracing health economics. With this goal in mind, Economics, Medicine and Health Care introduces simple economic concepts and highlights some of the ways in which economic analysis can contribute to health service policy-making.
The third edition of this text has been thoroughly updated to reflect recent changes and developments in the field and it continues to be an indispensable guide to health economics for all those concerned with health care management.
