In the 19th C Streatfield was commissioned to undertake pen and ink drawings of houses churches and villages in Kent for a proposed new edition of Hasted's History of Kent. It was not brought to press and the book now offered contains a selection of the drawings in the collection by Streatfield and others now held by the Archaeological Society.
