Présentation de l'éditeur :
To the untrained eye, it all seems to have gone horribly wrong. The economy looks like it s spent a weekend with Charlie Sheen, the planet is on its knees gasping frantically for breath, and our lives seem to alternate between sexed-up slavery and mind-numbing consumption. Fear not: it doesn t have to be like this. Despite what politicians, bankers and media moguls would have you believe, another way of living is undeniably possible. The Moneyless Man Mark Boyle an ex-businessman who has lived completely without money for almost three years examines the obsolete cultural stories behind how we live today, proposes a radically new perspective and presents a smörgåsbord of moneyless options through which you can free yourself from this life-sucking, bankrupt system to whatever extent you wish. Whether you want to save money, lower your environmental impact, find the freedom of self-sufficiency or simply reconnect with nature, The Moneyless Manifesto takes you on a guided tour of the moneyless economy and empowers you to reduce your dependency on an increasingly fragile monetary system. Boyle weaves philosophy, practicalities and anecdotes into a book that may just help you regain your freedom. Along the way he encourages you to question everything, reconnect with the place and people where you live, and put the adventure and creativity back into the art of living.
