This biography, completed in the mid 1930s, shortly after Sidney Myer's death, has been entered by Neilma Sidney (Sidney Myer's elder daughter) and A. H. Tolley, who went to work at Myer's in the early 1920s and rose to be managing director and chairman of the board. In her prologue Neilma Sidney recounts memories of her father that add depth to our understanding of him as a family man. Harry Tolley's epilogue sketches the subsequent history of the marketing empire that was, in many ways, Sidney Myer's life. -- front fold over blurb.
