On two occasions in 1942, four Canadian boats were attacked in harbour in Canadian waters. 69 people perished. This was as near as WWII got to Canadian soil. These 140 pages - incl. at least 5 MAPS - cover those events. Learn more about : Friedrich Wilhelm Wissman, U-518, RCNVR, A.R.P., Saganaga, Lord Strathcona, Rose Castle, PLM 27, Lance Cove beach and Scotia Pier. TEXT assisted by b/w photos.
