The Sufi engages fully in life, using the matters of the everyday world to fuel the alchemy of spiritual transformation. The ordinary thus becomes infused with the felt presence and guidance of All-Pervading Spirit, and the purpose of the soul in earthly embodiment is illumined. This little volume of aphorisms from the founder of Sufism in the West is a glimpse into that alchemy.
