Description du livre Etat : Wie neu. 28 S. Absolut frisches und sauberes Exemplar, brand new as issued. . - During the 1930s the strongest influences upon Jackson were three older but contemporary painters: his teacher Thomas Hart Benton, and two of three major Mexican muralists, José Clémente Orozco and David Alfaro Siqueiros. Benton was mentor as well as friend. Jackson knew Orozco, and in New York he worked with Siqueiros. In addition, it should be remembered that he greatly admired Albert Pinkham Ryder who, after El Greco, was his favorite painter. In Jackson's first paintings in oil he sought to depict lateral movement. Such movement certainly determined the composition of the three earliest paintings in the exhibition. All three are narratives, and in each the time is night. ISBN 0935037268 Sprache: Deutsch Gewicht in Gramm: 550 Mit zahlr. farb. Abb. Broschiert. N° de réf. du vendeur 1021564
