A collection of 35 short stories that describe actual humorous events that occurred during the preparation, travel, and wilderness adventures of the two authors over the 40 years they have conducted classes and field research, mostly in the Quetico-Superior region. The authors, seasoned wilderness travelers both, are well-published professional ecologists, but one need not be a field scientist to appreciate the human foibles that are the basis for their humor. Anyone who had canoed or done much primitive camping will be reminded of incidents in their own experience which, while perhaps not funny at the time, became funny during the retelling.
