Revue de presse :
Beginner to Breeder is the third edition of what its publishers call the best-selling aquarium book of all time . The first draft of the Marine Aquarium Handbook was conceived in the 1970s, yet this edition is bang up to date in terms of much of its content and photography. Most aspects of captive marines are covered; from aquariums to filtration and water quality, set-up and maintenance, fish selection, health and feeding, and there s a substantial section on breeding. Live rock, live sand and algae refugiums are also featured, including many references to invertebrates and their care in the marine system. However, this is mostly about starting from scratch and doesn t include extended fish and coral profiles as you might expect from an all-in-one marine beginner guide. Author Martin A Moe, junior, is a legend and was keeping and breeding marines when Julian Spring, who wrote the foreword, was a boy. This book is written with great authority and bags of hands-on experience, although it is an uncomplicated and easy read. Informative and educational without being patronising, it doesn t lecture. Instead it inspires, explaining that you can keep marines and this is how to do it. --Pet Product Marketing August 2010
