Présentation de l'éditeur :
MADE IN YORKSHIRE is a glorious celebration of all the feature films shot in the county from the inception of film to the present day including in-depth accounts of more than 30 films.
Written by TONY EARNSHAW, the Yorkshire Post's film critic and Artistic Director of the Bradford International Film Festival. Many of the 330 photographs have been taken over a 25-year period by JIM MORAN, one of the Yorkshire Post's senior and award-winning photographers.
A foreword to the book is written by Oscar-winning screenwriter RONALD HARWOOD whose film The Dresser, shot in Bradford, York and Halifax, features prominently.
Other photographs have been sourced from most of Yorkshire's newspapers, the general public and people who worked on the films. Many of these have never been seen before languishing either in basement filing cabinets or dresser drawers. The book contains unusual and sometimes exclusive location photographs of BETTE DAVIS, JAMES MASON, ALBERT FINNEY, DUSTIN HOFFMAN, SOPHIA LOREN, RICHARD GERE, EWAN McGREGOR, PAUL NEWMAN, DAVID NIVEN, CATHERINE TATE, TOM WILKINSON, MAGGIE SMITH, JEREMY IRONS and ANTHONY HOPKINS.
Features interviews with MORGAN FREEMAN, JOHN SCHLESINGER, JULIE CHRISTIE, DAVID TENNANT, KEN LOACH, SIR TOM COURTENAY, RALPH FIENNES, JENNY AGUTTER, MARK HERMAN, CATHERINE TATE, MICHAEL PALIN, ALAN BENNETT and others about their experiences filming in Yorkshire.
