Biographie de l'auteur :
About Darwin Porter: In addition to JACKO: HIS RISE AND FALL,
Darwin Porter has penned at least four other unauthorized biographies.
Each of these has salvaged the otherwise forgotten oral histories of
America's entertainment industry, and each of them has appeared in
serialized form in major newspapers of the U.K. They include The Secret
Life of Humphrey Bogart: The Early Years (1899-1931); Howard Hughes: Hell's
Angel (a book about the Hollywood involvements of an American emperor);
Brando Unzipped (a "lurid, raunchy, and perceptive" biography of Marlon
Brando that's "as X-rated as the man himself"), and Katharine the Great, a
starkly unapologetic exposé of the life and personal quirks of über-diva
Katharine Hepburn. Darwin is a long-time associate of THE FROMMER TRAVEL
GUIDES. When not traveling (which is rare), he lives in New York, with
frequent excursions to London and L.A.
