The"Delice", a French expression for something delicious, got its start in 1957 in Aspen, Colorado, when Swiss pastry chef, Walter Huber, decided to make his living there. Now anyone can recreate the delectable European breads and pastries and the mouth-watering soups and chili that were served for 50 years in the Roaring Fork Valley. Color photographs of the finished food are complimented by black and white photos demonstrating technique or offering glimpses into the restaurant's 50 years of history in the picturesque towns of Aspen and Glenwood Springs, Colorado. Recipes for the family's jams and jellies are included. Some recipes work best at high altitude.
