Présentation de l'éditeur :
When a call from dispatch sends John Hatch to a gruesome murder scene, his gut tells him there's something more to learn than the homicide team uncovers. But he's a street cop, not a detective, and he's got trouble enough with his hot-headed new partner, a rookie sergeant, and the disaster that is his personal life. One by one, the duties of the job take their toll as he confronts the daily reality of the streets-the druggies and wife beaters, cheaters and crooks-that remind him how short life really is, and how impossible it is to live well in a world where bad things are inevitable. In the end, nothing about the life of a patrolman is as black and white as you'd like it to be.

REVIEWS

"Sgt. Wes Albers tells a story that might be all too real as it examines the thoughts and fears of a senior patrol officer who tries to find meaning in the sometimes terrifying and complex world he lives in, wearing a badge. If you would like to experience what it is like to be a police officer in a big city, I would highly recommend that you read this book."
William M. Lansdowne, Chief of Police of San Diego

"Gripping. Rugged. Authentic. Wes Albers' Black & White puts you in the shotgun seat next to his John Hatch for an up close and gritty view of the good and the bad of a street cop's world. Bring your diapers."
Gary Phillips, author of The Underbelly

"Gritty and rewarding . . . A top-knotch cop novel. Watch out, Joseph Wambaugh."
Gayle Lynds, New York Times Bestselling Author of The Book of Spies
