Jeanne Ricks has a passion for teaching and sharing information about how we can all optimize our health and improve our sense of well-being. As recent Director of Holistic Wellness Programs for City College of New York, she develops programs which emphasize self-healing through nutrition, breathing techniques and meditation; self-empowerment through practical techniques for coping with stress, building health and vitality, and developing inner resources to confront adversity and challenges in one's life. Her outreach not only empowers the average person but, also those battling alcoholism, drug addiction, domestic violence, mental illness and the isolation often experienced by the elderly. Through her work with numerous clients she developed the successful Centered Eating for Restoration program. She is an independent Nutritional Consultant, lecturer, author and life coach whose motto is; “As we instill new ideas – behavior changes – health improves.’ Jeanne Ricks’ credentials include certificates earned in health counseling through Columbia University’s Teacher’s College in New York, as well as from the Open Center in New York through their professional training program in Herbalism covering traditional, Chinese, Ayurvedic and Native American traditions. She also holds certification from the American Association of Drugless Practitioners as a Holistic Health Practitioner and is a member of the Northeast Herbal Association. In addition, Jeanne is certified as a Clinical Hypnotist through the National Guild of Hypnotists.
