Davina Hanes, was born in 1972 and lives in the North West of England with her husband and two daughters. She has an Honours Degree in Teaching and Mentoring and works full time within an educational setting. Her love of cats developed several years ago when she adopted her first rescue cat, Magic, from a local Rescue Centre, Oldham Cats Rescue. She soon after became an unpaid volunteer at the Rescue and is now an Assistant Manager there. Over the years her treasured feline brood has escalated to that of an incredible thirteen. She now plays an integral role in the running of the Rescue, including helping abandoned cats to find new homes. Davina has likewise fostered hundreds of pregnant mums and kittens over the years, all of which, once returned to the Rescue, were successfully re-homed. She has a passion for Rescue life, her love for cats is unprecedented and she continues to devote every spare moment of her time to help those less fortunate and abandoned animals in need.
