Eleanor Stredder wrote for various periodicals and also wrote a number of novels, the earliest being 'The Raven of Redruth' (1862). Later in life she wrote a series of novels set in the Colonies, South Africa and India. As well as her own novels she also co-wrote, with her sisters Sarah and Harriet 'Shrouded in Mystery' (1901). She died in Hertfordshire in 1913.
