Beth Kelsey, EdD, APRN, WHNP-BC has been a nationally certified Women s Health Nurse Practitioner since 1980. She holds master s degrees from Ball State University in both nursing and adult and community education. She received her doctoral degree in 2005 with a major in adult, higher and community education from Ball State University. Dr. Kelsey s clinical practice has been in a variety of health clinics providing well woman care, family planning services, sexually transmitted infection diagnosis and treatment, and prenatal care. Dr. Kelsey is an Assistant Professor at Ball State University School of Nursing and is the Director of the DNP Programme. She teaches advanced practice role and primary care of women in the adult and family nurse practitioner tracks of the master s programme and leadership and health policy in advanced practice, population focused health care, and advanced topics in management of client health/illness status in the DNP programme. She is faculty advisor for DNP capstone projects. She has presented nationally on a variety of women s health topics including lab and diagnostic test interpretation in women s health, intrauterine contraception, health screening recommendations for women, menopause issues, and putting evidence into practice. She has also published several articles on contraception issues. Dr. Kelsey also serves as a board member of the National Association of Nurse Practitioners in Women s Health. In the past 12 years she has been the recipient of three School of Nursing Outstanding Teacher Awards, the Beta Rho Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International Honour Society Excellence in Nursing Education Award, and the Ball State University Outstanding Nursing Alumnus Award. Jamille Nagtalon-Ramos, MSN, WHNP-BC, IBCLC has been a board certified Women s Health Nurse Practitioner for 11 years. She obtained her bachelor s degree from Rutgers University College of Nursing and holds a master s degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing in obstetrics and gynaecology. Upon graduation, she helped develop the first obstetric nurse practitioner hospitalist position for the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In this role, which she still currently holds, she has provided care for women in several different areas including high-risk antepartum and postpartum, and is involved in nursing and resident education. Mrs. Nagtalon-Ramos is the Associate Director of the Women s Health Nurse Practitioner Programme and a Senior Lecturer at the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing. For the past 9 years, Mrs. Nagtalon-Ramos has a cadre of teaching experience in both undergraduate and graduate nursing programmes including clinical instruction in obstetric ultrasound and for the maternal-child rotation and didactic teaching in physical assessment, well-woman/gynaecology, antepartum, integration/advance practice role and foetal evaluation courses. Mrs. Nagtalon-Ramos has presented locally, nationally and internationally on a wide array of topics that are primarily focused on women s health, including the advanced practice nursing role, postpartum care, infectious disease in pregnancy, contraceptive counselling, breastfeeding, role of culture in providing obstetrical care and utilising technology to improve clinical practice. Mrs. Nagtalon-Ramos serves as the Secretary for the Board of Directors Executive Committee for the National Association of Nurse Practitioners in Women s Health and has co-chaired the 2012 and 2013 annual conferences. In 2013, she earned 3rd place in the Child Health Category in the American Journal of Nursing s Book of the Year Awards.
