This book was originally published prior to 1923, and represents a reproduction of an important historical work, maintaining the same format as the original work. Biographie de l'auteur :
Gustav Schwab (1792 1850), Pfarrer, Gymnasialprofessor und Schriftsteller, der zur Schwäbischen Dichterschule gezählt wird. Er lehrte u.a. alte Sprachen am Eberhard-Ludwigs-Gymnasium Stuttgart, arbeitete für die Redaktion des J.F.Cotta-Verlags, übernahm das Pfarramt in Gomaringen bei Reutlingen, kehrte 1841 nach Stuttgart zurück und wurde 1847 mit dem Ehrendoktor der Theologie der Universität Tübingen ausgezeichnet.
Hermann Bausinger, 1926 in Aalen geboren, ist emeritierter Professor der Universität Tübingen, wo er von 1960 bis 1992 das Ludwig-Uhland-Institut für Empirische Kulturwissenschaft leitete. Zu seinen Forschungsschwerpunkten zählen Alltagskultur, Kultur- und Sozialgeschichte, Volksliteratur, Sprach- und Dialektprobleme, Landeskunde. Er ist Autor zahlreicher Publikationen zur Alltagskultur, Kulturgeschichte und Landeskunde.
