Angela Leiva is a Professor of the University of Havana and holds a doctorate in Biological Sciences. She is director of the National Botanic Garden and is currently working on the conservation of threatened Cuban plants. Since 2003 she has held the chair of the SSC / IUCN Cuban Plants Specialist Group. Gonzalo Canetti is known nationally and internationally for his scientific and publicity photography. As photo-reporter for the Cuban Ministry of Science, Technology and the Environment his pictures have been widely published and he has worked on corporate and editorial projects for a list of distinguished Cuban clients.
