Biographie de l'auteur

After a career at Villanova University teaching the history of the Enlightenment, Marxism, and Third World revolutions, Fred Carrier has turned to the struggle for gay rights. Long a devotee of the novel as a creative art form, he uses that genre to tell the story of two young men confronting the law and society as they strive to live and love together. The setting for Maurice and Alec in America is Philadelphia from 1924 to 1944. The author welcomes comments on the book from those supportive of gay rights. He may be contacted at fjcarrier@msn.com
