Présentation de l'éditeur

Lessing stractate. The Education of the Human Race, is an aocount of how the world received and is still receiving revelation that is to prepare man for the attainment of the best that is in him. This involves the notion of a racial education and a conception of the inter-dependence of all social phenomena the unity of man with nature and the correlation of moral and political theory. The eighteenth century, spurred by the impetus of the Reformation and the scientific discoveries of the seventeenth century, became engrossed with the revelation of the power and destiny of man. The feeling that man was not an accident but the necessary complement of an otherwise incomplete system, gave an added force to the validity of mans ideas. Champions of deistic thought sprang up everywhere: in France, in England, in Germany. But England, owing to the philosophy of Locke, which led to religious doubt and abnegation, proved the most prolific source of deism. Taschenbuch. Etat : Neu. nach der Bestellung gedruckt Neuware - Printed after ordering - Lessing's Education of the Human Race is a philosophical work written by German writer Gotthold Ephraim Lessing in 1780. In this book, Lessing explores the idea of humanity's continuous progress towards enlightenment and perfection. He argues that this progress is achieved through the accumulation of knowledge and experience, which is passed down from generation to generation. John Dearling Haney's edition of the book, published in 1908, includes an introduction and notes that provide context and analysis for Lessing's ideas. Haney also includes translations of Lessing's other works, which further explore the themes of education and progress. Overall, Lessing's Education of the Human Race is a thought-provoking work that challenges readers to consider the role of education in human development and the pursuit of knowledge. It is a must-read for anyone interested in philosophy, history, and the human condition. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
