I'm a small town boy from Texas . I didn't really excel in school or at anything else until I became a father in the fall of 1993. I then began to force my nose to the grindstone harder and harder until one day I realized that I had a calling in life. I attended Midwestern State University and studied Agricultural science. I since then have attended two other Universities. I'm a single father of two teenagers and I must say, they are the very best young men I've ever known. I believe that people are naturally narcissistic. I also believe that only one large event, good or bad changes a person forever. When iIwas a boy, I was told by my Grandmother that the Devil rides an idle horse. So I've kept myself busy as much as possible to avoid being labeled the single father who withdrew from society and doesn't have a grasp on reality any longer. I believe that any person who tells a story, should first imagine how the listener will react to the story and what they will walk away believing could or even may happen. This book is the first in this series. It introduces the reader to a killer. You will hate the killer and then come to love him. And there's a hero, he's modest and an all around good guy, but his morals will be tested time and time again, as he faces the mind of a criminal. We begin our story in Dallas Texas . Colt "the killer" lives a double life. He wants so badly to be a nine-to-five family man. But he has an obligation to the Mob. The hero in our story, Detective Rick Wise, doesn't have a clue what he's getting himself into. But rest assured, he'll fight tooth and nail before he lets a killer go free. Switchback grabs a hold of the reader and makes them hate and then fall in love with a killer. The title is Switchback and there is a reason for it. With the twists and turns, you'll be captivated and can't wait for the answers to be unveiled. But be forewarned, there are some pretty gruesome scenes in this novel that may not be suitable for all readers. There is a method to the madness and you'll see how it plays together in the end.
