Diane Namm resides in Malibu, California, and is the author of several Classic Starts, including Phantom of the Opera and Five Little Peppers and How They Grew. Academic consultant Dr. Arthur Pober has spent over 20 years in the areas of early childhood and gifted education. He has been the principal of one of the world's oldest laboratory schools for gifted youngsters, Hunter College Elementary School, and was Director of Magnet Schools for the Gifted and Talented for over 25,000 youngsters in New York City. Eric Freeberg received an MFA in painting from the New York Academy of Art in New York City. His classic style is influenced by N.C. Wyeth, Howard Pyle, and other artists of the golden age of American illustration. Eric lives in Seattle and enjoys distance running and karaoke but not at the same time. He illustrates fulltime and has illustrated many books for children.
