HONOR HARRINGTON MUST DIE!

Hounded into retirement and disgrace by political enemies, cut to the heart by the murder of the man she loved, and bereft of confidence in herself and her abilities, Captain Honor Harrington has retreated to the planet Grayson to take up her role as Steadholder while she tries to heal her bitter wounds.

But the People's Republic of Haven is rising from defeat to threaten Grayson anew, and the newborn Grayson Navy needs her experience desperately. It's a call Honor cannot refuse, yet even as she once more accepts the duty whose challenges she fears she can no longer meet, powerful men who hate the changes she's brought to their world are determined to reverse them. They have a plan. . . and for it to succeed Honor Harrington must die.

Two irresistible forces are rushing together to crush Grayson between them, and only one woman uncertain of her capabilities, weary unto death, and marked for murder stands between her adopted planet and its devastation.

Biographie de l'auteur :
With over seven and a half million copies of his books in print and eighteen titles on the New York Times bestseller list, David Weber is the science fiction publishing phenomenon of the new millennium. In the hugely-popular Honor Harrington series, the spirit of C.S. Forester’s Horatio Hornblower and Patrick O’Brian’s Master and Commander lives on—into the galactic future. Books in the Honor Harrington and Honorverse series have appeared on twenty-one bestseller lists, including those of The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, and USA Today. While Weber is best known for his spirited, modern-minded space operas, he is also the creator of the Oath of Swords fantasy series and the Dahak saga, a science fiction and fantasy hybrid. Weber has also engaged in a steady stream of best-selling collaborations including his Starfire Series with Steve White, which produced the New York Times bestseller The Shiva Option among others. Weber’s collaboration with alternate history master Eric Flint led to the best-selling 1634: The Baltic War. His Honorverse collaborations with Flint in the Crown of Slave series are also highly popular, with latest entry, Cauldron of Ghosts, becoming a New York Times bestseller. His planetary adventure novels with military science fiction ace and multiple national best-selling author John Ringo includes March to the Stars and We Few. Finally, Weber’s teaming with Linda Evans and Joelle Presby produced the Multiverse series, including latest entry, The Road to Hell. David Weber makes his home in South Carolina with his wife and children.

Description du livre Hardcover. Etat : Fine. 1st Edition. First edition thus first printing. A beautifully produced and bound book in full leather with and gilt titles. The boards are clean and sharp. The pages are crisp and unblemished. Feels unread. Fine condition. Signed by author. Note we do not use stock images, the book pictured is the book described. A lovely fine example of this collectible title issued by Baen to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the release of the first Honor Harrington novel. Signed by author in  gold pen to the colour frontispiece, that has the original hardcover and paperback art work. Note on the second colour frontispiece there is a smudge of the gold pen as seen in the images, probably from David's hand as he blotted the signature from the reverse side.  These gold pens need blotting as they are actually paint (as opposed to ink) and take a while to dry without smearing, so are normally blotted to prevent any smearing and making the signing process quicker.  Uncommon signed Weber edition.
