Robert Pater lives in northeast Florida with his wife Kathie, his faithful old mutt Blondie, and cat Chewy. He enjoys gardening and golfing, fishing and traveling, and almost anything else life throws his way. Robert began life in Montclair, New Jersey and moved to the outskirts of Annapolis, Maryland at the ripe old age of two. When his father was transferred to Florida in 1960, the family brought him along and the State of Florida hasn’t been able to get rid of him since. Graduating from Florida State University in 1973, his work life took many twists and turns before settling in with a large international company for nearly twenty six years, the last five of which were involved with environmental reclamation. Now retired, Robert would love to hear the reader’s thoughts about this book. He can be reached through email at rob.pater@hotmail.com.
In J.D. Hansen’s first major case, he was nearly gunned down by a serial killer, the same one who murdered his wife. He remembered thinking it would never get worse than that. He was wrong. Spring break has now descended upon Florida’s east coast and with it the influx of tens of thousands party primed college students ready for four weeks of non-stop revelry. The mass of humanity is a perfect camouflage for what is lying in wait for them. It’s evil, arrogant, and filled with an insatiable hunger. If it has its way, Spring break will never be the same again.
