Hangad ko na sana’y kapulutan ng aral o kaalaman ng mga mambabasa ang ilan sa nilalaman ng aklat na ito. Pulutin ang mabuti upang tularan, at ang hindi maganda ay iwasan. Halina kayo at simulan ang kakaibang paraan ng pagbabasa at buhayin sa inyong mga sarili ang talentong ibinigay sa mapapalad nating mga kababayan...ang pagiging makata. At sa pamamagitan nito, madama natin, kahit na tayo’y nasa ibang bansa...hindi natin kailanman lilimutin ang ating sariling wika. I communicate through poetry. I am happy to bring recognition and attention to my beloved country and to our warm, resilient, passionate people at home and around the world. Mabuhay kayo at mabuhay ang Pilipinas! We don't read and write poetry because it's cute. We read and write poetry because we are members of the human race. And the human race is filled with passion. And medicine, law, business, engineering, these are noble pursuits and necessary to sustain life. But poetry, beauty, romance, love, these are what we stay alive for.
