MARIA GABRIELA MADRID studied Education at the Metropolitan University of Caracas, Venezuela, Creative Writing and English as a Second Language at Harvard University, Boston University and Columbia University. Madrid obtained Diploma and Honorable Mention for his participation in the 17th Poetry and narrative contest of the Institute of Peruvian Culture, Florida-USA, granted by the Mayor of Florida Carlos Alvarez. In 2011, She received in Houston the recognition of "Woman Writer of the Year 2011" awarded by the representative of Mayor Anisse Parker. In 2010 she participated in a video-conference where the topic addressed was: Chicanism as a political, cultural and social movement and the Chicano Identity in Art and Literature. (Complete biography inside the book) MARIA GABRIELA MADRID estudió Educación en la Universidad Metropolitana de Caracas, Escritura Creativa e Inglés como segundo idioma en Harvard University, Boston University y Columbia University. Madrid obtuvo Diploma y Mención de Honor por su participación en el 17 Concurso de Poesía y Narrativa del Instituto de Cultura Peruana, Florida-USA, otorgado por el alcalde de Florida Carlos Álvarez.
