Ahlulbayt Organization (www.shia.es) is a registered non-profit Organisation that operates and is sustained through collaborative efforts of volunteers in many countries around the world, and it welcomes your involvement and support. Its objectives are numerous, yet its main goal is to spread the truth about the Islamic faith in general and the Shi`a School of Thought in particular due to the latter being misrepresented, misunderstood and its tenets often assaulted by many ignorant folks, Muslims and non-Muslims. One of its goals is to digitize and post on the Internet quality Islamic Shi`a literature, this way you know about this faith from its adherents, not from those who feel it threatens, perhaps undermines, the shaky foundations of their beliefs. Topics its publications and other types of information tackle are: history, especially Islamic history, law (Shari`a, Islam's legislative system), practice and society as the Islamic faith wants them all to be, with emphasis on the beliefs of Twelver (Ithna-`Asheri) Shi`a Islamic School of Thought. In other words, our message is directed to the open-minded people, not to fanatics, extremists or close-minded people. Our purpose is to facilitate the dissemination of knowledge through a global medium, the Internet, to locations where such resources are not commonly or easily accessible or are resented, resisted and fought! In addition, Ahlulbayt Ltd. aims at encouraging scholarship, research and enquiry through the use of technological facilitates. Our web site anticipates to serve as a modest instrument for introducing Shi‘a Islam to all interested people, again, to the open-minded folks. Efforts have been exerted to introduce well-documented materials which meet the requirements of an objective study of this subject which some people, for one reason or another, view as being "controversial;" we find no controversy in knowledge, in seeking and/or promoting it. Our Internet-posted articles as well as printed books cover articles related to different issues: Islam in general and Shi`a Islam in particular. YASIN T. AL-JIBOURI is an Iraqi-American citizen who obtained his B.A. in English on June 30, 1969 from the College of Arts, Baghdad University, and his M.A. in English from (then) Atlanta University (now Clark Atlanta University), Atlanta, Georgia, on December 20, 1978 and taught English as a second language at high schools in Iraq, a vocational institute in Saudi Arabia, and a University in the U.S. * Edited Nahjul Balagha: Peak of Eloquence by Imam Ali ibn Abu-Talib ( ? ) * Edited and revised three English translations of the Holy Qur'an: 1) by S.V.
