Synopsis
A chance meeting of two free spirits in a Portuguese park leads to a kaleidoscope of adventures in Africa, Europe, America and Canada. Linda and Georgia hike in the High Atlas mountains, give a concert in Casablanca and part in the south, not knowing when or if they will meet again. While Georgia faces the dangers of lone travel in the African desert Linda heads east. This is a story of friendship covering 17 months and many miles: the joys, sorrows and mishaps experienced. An extraordinary tale involving a Celtic harp, tin whistle and an old BMW motorbike.

Linda Bootherstone has been travelling since her teens and finds that using a motorcycle for this reveals a different and exciting world. For over 40 years she has explored many countries and continents. Her other love is folk music and as a singer/ songwriter has written and performed in the countries visited as well as collecting indigenous music. To fund her travels she has had a variety of jobs from car cleaning to presenting educational shows in schools. She has written several travel articles for papers and magazines and also writes short stories and poems.
