About the Author A proud and noble Cornishman (and to a lesser extent British), Chris Ward ran off to live and work in Japan back in 2004. There he got married, got a decent job, and got a cat. He remains pure to his Cornish/British roots while enjoying the inspiration of living in a foreign country. In addition to The Tube Riders, he is the author of 33 published stories and seven unpublished novels, some of which, thankfully, will remain so. “Like” Chris on Facebook at Chris Ward (fiction writer) or follow on Twitter @ChrisWardWriter. Chris also has a blog about his writing and his life – http://amillionmilesfromanywhere.blogspot.jp/ There will be a second Tube Riders novel if time and energy allows. The author would love to hear your suggestions and comments. Please email them to – thetuberiders@gmail.com
Marta Banks is a girl with an identity. She is a Tube Rider, a girl who risks death every day in the abandoned underground stations of London. It doesn’t matter that her parents are dead. It doesn’t matter that her beloved brother has disappeared. It doesn’t matter that in the dystopian chaos of London in 2075, in the shadow of the towering perimeter walls, she has no future. She has her friends. Together, the Tube Riders are a family, united against the brutality of their lives, but when they discover a dark government secret that could bring war to Britain and end decades of oppression, everything they hold dear is threatened. Now they are running for their lives, hunted by genetically engineered killing machines that will stop at nothing to catch them. The Huntsmen are coming....
