Biographie de l'auteur

Vincent S. Coster is an Irish born poet, who now lives in the UK where he juggles his writing with being a stay at home dad, and home educator. He began writing poetry as a way of venting the frustrations of being an outsider in a small rural village in Ireland when he was twelve, but it wasn’t until he was nineteen that he decided to take up the vocation of poetry as a serious craft. Since then he has tirelessly worked on developing his poetic voice with a determination to take up the mantle as the ''Poetic Oracle of his nation,'' and sees himself as the heir apparent to Seamus Heaney in the line of great Irish poets stretching back to WB Yeats. His main style is the loose free form lyrical poetry which was used to great effect by Seamus Heaney, and like Heaney and Kavanagh he tries to tell the story of the Irish people from the perspective not of that nation's struggles but from that of the individual and parochial. But he has not shied away from looking at the struggles of humanity, from child soldiers to the struggles of migrants. He has published five collections of poetry. The Folk Hero Midget (2001) There Are Words (2009) The Spirit of Youth (2012) Poems From Another Shore (2013) Eat Not My Brother (2015) He has also published a number of poems on various websites such as All Poetry, Poem Hunter, and Hello Poetry. Présentation de l'éditeur

The first edition of the first collection of poetry by Irish Poet Vincent S. Coster. This collection was originally self-published in the spring of 2001 and though it had a limited distribution it was well received by those who read it. It was mostly a collection psychedelic in its makeup but there were traces and hints of the work that was to come both in the composition and themes which the poet tackled. When he set out to become the poetic voice of the Irish race at the beginning of his career he laid down the gauntlet with this fine collection.
