Description du livre Hardcover. Etat : new. Hardcover. There are many hunting adventure books in print, but few that exclusively deal with women hunters. Etling and Reneau researched their subject well, and many of the women profiled are among the top hunters in the world. The authors discovered hundreds of bright, articulate women who love to hunt big game, and they culled the best stories from these women for this book. Here is what you will read: One woman was hunting trophy mule deer solo in Utah when a rattlesnake attacked and got its fangs caught in her hunting pants. Another, her PH, and tracker were surrounded by African lions, inches away and ready to charge. Then there is a hilarious story about a woman, forbidden to hunt by her husband, who sneaks away after moose and caribou. She returns a week later laden with hundreds of pounds of venison, as well as a huge caribou rack. There is the story of the first woman to harvest the fabled NA 29 Slam (all varieties of North American big game), who, incidentally, completed this feat after having suffered a debilitating stroke. There is also the tale of a preschool teacher and single mom who bagged the largest whitetail ever taken by a woman, yet still found the time to teach her wheelchair-bound son to hunt. Book jacket. Etling & Reneau have done extensive research and found many of the women profiled in this book among the top hunters in the world. These are some of the most intriguing and unusual adventures you have yet to read! Shipping may be from multiple locations in the US or from the UK, depending on stock availability.
