MORE SECRET ADVENTURES OF SHERLOCK HOLMES by Gary Lovisi continues his quest to provide intimate knowledge of the great detective that Conan Doyle and others have not revealed. It began with THE SECRET ADVENTURES OF SHERLOCK HOLMES (Ramble House, 2007) and the three haunting stories in this new collection show even more of the human side of Holmes, including his obsession with blood splatters, his time spent in gaol for murder, and a little-known trip to the United States when he was 22. Gary Lovisi, Brooklyn-based aficionado and publisher of hard-boiled paperbacks, shows off his Sherlockian skills in capturing the hidden humanity of the immortal Holmes.
GARY LOVISI is a Sherlockian fan and collector as well as the author of the massive bibliographic study, Sherlock Holmes: The Great Detective in Paperback & Pastiche (Gryphon, 2008). He is also the author of numerous Sher-lockian pastiches that have appeared in various anthologies and collections, including The Secret Adventures of Sherlock Holmes (Ramble House, 2007). His story, “The Adventure of the Missing Detective” was nominated by the Mystery Writ-ers of America for an Edgar Award as one of the best short stories of 2005. Lovisi is the editor of Paperback Parade and Hardboiled magazines and the founder of Gryphon Books.
