INTRODUCTION

I AM thinking as I pen these lines of the grand army of Juniors, generalled as they are by a splendid force of superintendents, "with the cross of Jesus going on before"; and I wonder if we realize that the future of the nation, of missions, and of the church through the coming years, rests on the shoulders of these children, and that it is ours, dear superintendents, to fit them for the arduous task of building in this future the kingdom of Jesus Christ and all it stands for.

Just as God used the Israelites to prepare the world for a complete and perfect salvation, so he is today using Christian Endeavor to take this same salvation to the uttermost parts of the earth.

Your society may be small, the boys mischievous and the parents indifferent; but a persistent, loving, prayerful effort will be followed by splendid results.

The suggestions in this book are intended to illustrate and simplify the Bible truths, and as you work them out before your Juniors week after week make them vitally alive with the love of Jesus Christ.
